Santa Clara, CA— StreetPrices today released a new resource to help Bay Area startups figure out the cost of doing business in most bay area cities. It includes a chart comparing business taxes for cities on the Peninsula, in Silicon Valley, and in parts of the East Bay. This makes it easy for startups to focus their search for office space on the cities that make sense for them.

"When we moved last year, we looked and looked for an easy way to tell which cities we should focus on," said Autumn Looijen, President. "We had to make those tools ourselves, and we hope other small businesses will be able to benefit from our legwork."

The chart covers city taxes side by side, so users can quickly see whether moving to a neighboring city would bring big savings. And the chart includes links to city websites, so business owners have an easy jumping-off place if they need to contact the city for more information.

Office-based businesses can also use the business tax calculator to estimate the taxes they'd pay in every city in the chart. Enter a few quick numbers that describe your particular business to get estimated yearly taxes for every city in the chart, along with useful links to city websites.
