My third JVC CD changer When I got a new car this year, I let my old JVC 12-CD changer go with the car I traded in. That was a mistake because even though the old one said it didn't play MP3's burned onto a blank CD, it did. I was at an advantage with the older (12 years) unit because it played both .wav files and MP3's. This new one only plays MP3's. So, if you are making your own CD's to play in this unit you have to convert any .wav or WMA (or other) files into MP3's before you burn the CD. A simple downloadable fre... –K. CD Changer The 12 disk CD Changer from Sony was fairly easy to install and came with all of the necessary hardware. The unit functions well with the exception of the remote, which does not work at all. As far as the unit is concerned, I would both recommend it and buy it again. –Gregory Caudillfrom Amazon.com

Very cool...while it worked. This gave flawless service for about three years, but then the display on the remote began to flicker contantly. Cleaning the connectors with contact cleaner was no use.

The display now lights up only occasionally, so I have hours of music online but no way of knowing how to find a given song.

Unfortunately, the remote is not available separately. One came up for auction on ebay, but the seller indicated that it also had a non-working display -- perhaps the lightsource (cold-ca... –readerfrom Amazon.com
